BI Hardware and Device Recommendations for Field Book and Smatrix
This is a record of devices that Breeding Insight has vetted or tried for use with the Field Book and Smatrix. Field Book currently requires an Android device with Android v.5.1 or higher in order to operate properly (2022.10.20). Smatrix requires Android v.8.0 or higher, but works best with Android v10.0 or higher (2022.10.20).
Breeding Insight has funds budgeted to provide tablets to each species. After discussing your program’s needs with your BI Coordinator, tablets will be purchased by BI and shipped to your field location for use.
